Programme for IPC Swimming World Championships finalized
The Women’s 50m Butterfly S3 event has been added to day two of the 2010 International Paralympic Committee (IPC) Swimming World Championships following the event viability criteria met. The Women’s 50m Butterfly S5 will have only two eligible classes: S4 and S5.
The final programme for the big event can be found here.
The deadline for receiving NPC feedback on entry reports for the World Championships is 29 July 2010.
As per rules and regulations, there is no possibility to add or withdraw from any event, and the entries should be in accordance with the final entries submitted to IPC Swimming. The checking process includes information relating to names, results and events.
To see the entries/event, please go to http://www.paralympic.org/Live_Results_FTP.
The event in Eindhoven will also be seeing new countries participating. IPC Swimming will be supporting the development of the Paralympic Sport by including athletes from developing countries, and therefore expanding the participation. For the World Championships in 2010, the honour belongs to the National Paralympic Committee (NPC) of Palestine (one athlete with visual impairment) and NPC Trinidad and Tobago (one athlete with functional disability). We welcome these new NPCs to the Paralympic Movement!
