Swimming Sport Technical Committee meets in Eindhoven

From August 22nd to August 23rd the Swimming Sport Technical Committee (STC) met in Eindhoven, following the very successful Swimming World Championships.

Jane Blaine (STC Chairperson), Glenn Tasker (Vice-Chair), Andre Cats (Head of Competition), Robert Outtram (Head of Technical), Ross Bragg (Head of Officiating), David Smetanine (athlete representative) and IPC Swimming Sport Manager Agnes Szilak discussed the current development of Paralympic Swimming and elaborated a strategic plan for the forthcoming years.

The strategic plan includes classification, officiating, competition calendar, competition management, development and budget.

Having David Smetanine representing the athletes was very important to the STC. His judgement and insights from an athlete's point of view was an enrichment to the elaboration of the strategic plan.
